Pickup & Delivery

There are two ways to get your order from Art Design Gallery: collect it yourself at no charge, or have it delivered anywhere in metropolitan Melbourne. This page explains how each works, what it costs, and what to expect if part of your order is on backorder.

Free collection

Collection is free on every order, and there are two collection points depending on what you have bought.

• Our showroom — Clyde North, VIC. This is where the business trades from, in Melbourne’s south-east. Come and see pieces in person before you buy, or collect an order here by arrangement. Call 0468 333 267 or email info@artdesigngallery.com.au to arrange a time.
• Truganina warehouse — west Melbourne, VIC, by arrangement. Most of our larger furniture ships direct from the Truganina warehouse. Collection from there is available by arrangement and is free. It is a working warehouse, not a showroom or a second Art Design Gallery branch — you cannot browse there, and you cannot turn up unannounced.

Please wait for our confirmation before travelling. Once your order is placed we contact you to confirm the collection point, the day and a time window. Turning up before that confirmation usually means a wasted trip.

When you collect, please bring:

• a vehicle large enough for the boxed item — boxed dimensions are on each product page, and they are bigger than the assembled piece;
• a second person to help load, for anything larger than a chair;
• your order number, and straps or blankets if you want the item protected in transit.

Our team can help load, but we are not able to secure loads inside your vehicle or transport goods to your car park.

Delivery

We deliver across the Melbourne metropolitan area. Delivery availability is decided by your postcode at checkout — enter it in the cart or checkout and you will see exactly what is available and what it costs before you pay.

• Warehouse Direct furniture — $190 flat per order. This covers the bulk of our furniture range, and it is a flat fee for the order, not per item. Order one dining table or four, metropolitan delivery is $190.
• Our own stock is charged by item size: $190 per large item, $100 per medium item, $30 per small item, and $25 for items without a size class.
• Mixed orders are charged additively — the $190 Warehouse Direct fee plus the size-based charge for any own-stock items.

Delivery is to your door or ground-floor entrance. We do not currently offer in-home placement, assembly, stair carries or packaging removal. If you need any of those, talk to us before ordering and we will tell you honestly whether we can help.

Outside metropolitan Melbourne? We do not run regional or interstate delivery, but we will still sell to you — free collection remains available, and many customers arrange their own courier. Call us and we will help you work out the best option.

Orders that include a backordered item

Some pieces can be ordered in larger quantities than we are holding at that moment. Where that happens, your order confirmation and invoice show exactly how many units are in stock now and how many are on backorder, along with the estimated dispatch date.

• Collection orders are split. The units we hold are ready to collect first, and we email you when they are ready. The backordered units follow separately, and you get a second email when they arrive.
• Delivery orders are dispatched complete, in a single delivery, once every item on the order is available.

Dispatch estimates are worked out from the stock arrival dates our supplier gives us, plus the time we need to receive and pick your order. They are estimates, not guaranteed dispatch or delivery dates. If a date moves we will contact you by email, SMS or phone. Full details are in section 5 of our Terms and Conditions.
